N1 Pienaarsrivier, 2014 http://www.bidim.co.za/n1-pienaarsrivier-2014/ Mon, 04 Aug 2014 13:10:43 +0000 http://www.bidim.co.za/?p=85 The median of the highway lies well below the surface level of the fast lanes in both directions and large volumes of water build up in the median and filter into the layer works on both sides, degrading the base which eventually causes cracking and rutting.

Installed subsoil drains using bidim A4 in the median, drains the water in this area to stop the ingress of water and protect the layer works. The water collected by the subsoil drain is tapped off into storm water drains in the median.
